TRUKD V2 18.5" Accessory Panel
TRUKD V2 18.5" Accessory Panel
The TRUKD V2 18.5" Accessory Panel is a full-length 3/16" 5052 aluminum panel that spans bar to bar on a TRUKD V2 or T Series rack. Available in 52" (in stock) or 64" (made to order, 4–6 week lead time). Textured black powder coat over e-coat primer. Bolts to 18" brackets by removing the stock faceplates — no drilling, no modification. Slides 2.5" in either direction for precise crossbar alignment.
Hole pattern accepts ¼-20 bolts, ½" bolts, and wide washer clamps. Confirmed compatible accessories: RotopaX fuel and water cans (requires TRUKD-compatible backer plates for the 2" bolt-circle spacing — sold separately), QuickFist clamps, TRUKD traction board mounts (with adjustable flip for different board sizes), and Hi-Lift jack mounts. MOLLE panel integration is manufacturer-claimed but not independently confirmed with specific brands. Install tools needed: 5/32" and 7/32" hex wrench.
Not compatible with V1 TRUKD racks. The V2 extrusion is 1.5" wider with a different profile and faceplate system — no adapter exists. Compatible with 18" and 24" TRUKD rack heights only; 6.5" and 12.5" racks have separate panel SKUs. Select A Series or T Series to match your rack generation.

Use cases
Standard build: traction board on the panel, Hi-Lift jack below it, RotopaX fuel can where space allows. Buyers adding the panel mid-build typically start with the traction board mount, which includes its own hardware, then fill in from there. For DIY mounts — antenna brackets, custom gear holds — the standard ¼-20 hole pattern accepts off-the-shelf hardware without modification.

Will this fit my V1 TRUKD rack?
No. The V2 system uses a wider extrusion (1.5" wider than V1) with a different profile and faceplate mounting system. The V2 panel will not bolt to V1 brackets. No adapter exists. If you're on a V1 rack and want an accessory panel, you'd need to upgrade the full rack system.
Do I need RotopaX backer plates, or can I mount RotopaX directly?
You need backer plates. RotopaX canisters use a 2" bolt-circle pattern that doesn't align with the TRUKD panel's hole pattern. TRUKD-compatible backer plates are the correct fix — TRUKD published a dedicated YouTube install guide for this. Do not try to use oversized washers or drill new holes in the panel.
What's the difference between A Series and T Series variants?
A Series is the V2-generation TRUKD rack; T Series is the current generation. Both use the same panel concept, but the bracket interface differs — the panel variant must match your rack generation. Check your rack's product page or the label on your uprights if you're unsure which series you have.
Does the 64" panel take longer to ship?
Yes — 4 to 6 weeks made-to-order production. The 52" panel is in stock and ships standard. If you need it for a specific trip or install window, order early.
Will the powder coat block the ¼-20 threads?
Potentially, yes — powder coat can migrate into the threads during cure. RealTruck's listing specifically calls this out and advises pre-threading all ¼-20 holes with a bolt before final assembly. Run a bolt through each hole during install to clear any coating before you torque hardware down.
What size rack does this panel work with?
18" and 24" TRUKD rack heights only. The 6.5" and 12.5" rack heights have their own separate panel SKUs with different bracket interfaces. Cross-sizing will not work.
