Topside Heated Blanket
Topside Heated Blanket
The Ignik Topside Heated Blanket goes on top of the sleeper — it drapes over you like a traditional blanket and plugs into 12V. That's the key distinction from the Flipside Heated Bed Cover, which lies underneath you against the sleeping platform. The Topside delivers 12V electric heat from above; the Flipside delivers it from below. Used together, they form a complete heated sleep envelope for sub-freezing camp conditions.
The Topside draws up to 48W at max heat from a 12V connection. A smart controller manages heat settings and remembers your last configuration so you're not re-setting from scratch every night. Shell is 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. A 12V vehicle adapter is included. The blanket packs into a stuff sack for storage and transport between trips.
Available in three variants: Blue/Tan (IGRCS-00323BL, $199.95), Arctic Camo (IGRCS-00323AC, $199.95), and Mtn Collection (IGRCS-00323MT, $249.95) — all share the same electrical specs and 48W draw. Use with any 12V power source rated for at least 4A continuous output. Battery not included.

Use cases
The Topside is the top half of Ignik's heated sleep system. Used alone, it functions as a heated blanket over a standard sleeping bag or camp bedding. Paired with the Ignik Flipside (underneath) and the Flipside Double (two-person), it creates a heated sleep system above and below for cold-weather overlanding. Also useful as a heated camp chair blanket or lap warmer in the evening with a 12V source nearby.

What is the difference between the Topside and the Flipside?
The Topside goes over you like a blanket — it heats from above the sleeper. The Flipside lies underneath you against the mattress — it heats from below. Both are 12V, both draw 48W at max, and both use a smart controller. They are designed to be used together for full above-and-below heated sleep coverage.
Can I use the Topside without the Flipside?
Yes. The Topside works as a standalone heated blanket over any sleeping setup. You don't need the Flipside to use it. Many users run the Topside alone over a sleeping bag on shoulder-season trips.
What battery do I need?
Any 12V power source with at least 4A continuous output on the 12V port. A standard 300–500Wh portable power station or a 12V vehicle outlet will work. On a 300Wh station running at medium heat, expect 5–6 hours of runtime.
Are the three variants the same specs?
Yes. Blue/Tan (IGRCS-00323BL), Arctic Camo (IGRCS-00323AC), and Mtn Collection (IGRCS-00323MT) are the same product. Blue/Tan and Arctic Camo are $199.95; Mtn Collection is $249.95. The difference is color/pattern only.
Does the smart controller remember my settings?
Yes. The smart controller stores your last heat setting and returns to it when you turn the blanket on again. You don't need to reset from scratch each night.
Is the battery included?
No. A 12V battery, power station, or vehicle connection is sold separately. The 12V vehicle adapter is included in the box.
Can I use it as a lap blanket or camp chair blanket?
Yes. With a 12V source available, the Topside works as a heated lap blanket or over-the-shoulder wrap in a camp chair. The connection cable and controller accommodate stationary use around camp, not just sleeping.
