The 23Zero Tasman Chair is a folding camp chair built on a coated steel frame with a 330 lb static rating. The seat sits 17 inches off the ground at standard camp-chair height, so it's easier to stand up from than a low beach chair, and the armrests give you something to push off. The back is a mesh panel, so air moves across your back instead of trapping heat against solid fabric on a hot afternoon.
At roughly 14 lb it's a basecamp and car-camping chair, not a backpacking one. The weight buys you a steel frame, a double-layered 600D polyester base, and wide base feet that spread the load so the chair sits steady on sand, grass, or loose dirt instead of sinking on skinny tube legs. One armrest holds a cup, and a rear pocket swallows a phone or a headlamp.
When you're done, it folds down to 10 x 6 x 37.5 inches and drops into the included zippered carry bag. That's a tube-style fold, not a flat briefcase fold, so it slides into a rig alongside the rest of your kit without eating a whole drawer.
