Does this only fit a Jeep Gladiator, or will it work on my Tacoma or Ram?
It is not a bolt-on, vehicle-specific part. It drapes over a closed tailgate and cinches with adjustable straps, so it is sized for the Jeep Gladiator, Toyota Tacoma, Ram, Rivian R1T, and QuarterMaster tailgates and fits similar mid- and full-size pickup tailgates.
Can I use it with the tailgate down, or only when it is up?
Both. With the gate up it is a trash and storage bag on the back of the truck. Drop the gate and it becomes a flat, organized pocket for tools, groceries, and camp gear while you work.
Will the straps mark or scuff my tailgate paint?
The straps contact the painted surface, so clean both the tailgate and the bag before the first install, and inspect the contact area after dusty or off-road runs to clear any grit. That keeps the finish protected.
Is it actually weatherproof?
The shell is heavy-duty weather-resistant vinyl and the top zips shut, so rain, snow, and dust stay off the contents. Treat it as weather-resistant storage, not a submersible dry bag.
