Overview
The RotopaX Locking Pack Mount is a flat-surface base with a keyed lock cylinder that twist-locks any standard RotopaX container in place. The DLX handle adds turning leverage so the pack cinches down hard and rides quiet.

Use it to lock a fuel or water RotopaX pack to a bed rail or bumper so it can't be lifted at a trailhead, or to secure a storage pack on a rooftop rack or RTT base plate. One locking mount covers whatever pack you swap on for the trip.

Does this fit all RotopaX containers?
Yes. The mount uses the standard RotopaX dimple twist-lock pattern shared across the 1, 1.75, 2, and 3.5-gallon packs, so it works with fuel, water, and storage containers.
How does the lock actually work?
A keyed cylinder inserts into the mount and blocks the container from being twisted off. It's a theft deterrent for when the rig is parked — good against a quick grab, not a defense against a determined thief with tools.
Can I use it with a pack mount extension?
No. An extension defeats the locking function. Bolt the locking mount directly to the surface to keep the lock working.
What can I mount it to?
Any flat surface you can bolt through — bed rails, bumpers, roof racks, RTT base plates, or trailer walls.
How is the DLX handle different from the standard mount?
The DLX handle gives more turning leverage, so you can cinch the container tighter against the mounting surface. A tighter seat means less rattle on rough roads.
Does the lock need any maintenance?
The cylinder lives in road grime, so wipe it down and add a shot of dry lube now and then to keep the key turning smoothly.
