The Kammok Python 10 UL is a pair of ultralight hammock suspension straps that weigh 3 oz for the set and hang anything rated to 300 lb. Each strap runs 10 ft with 20 daisy-chain loops, so you get 20 ft of reach and 40 connection points to dial in the exact hang angle you want. The webbing is SpiraLine, a UHMWPE fiber that Kammok rates 15x stronger than steel by weight, so the straps stay this thin without giving up the load rating.

Low stretch is the point. SpiraLine barely creeps under load, so the hang height you set is the height you get after you climb in. The variable-width design tapers from about 2 in at the tree down to roughly 0.6 in along the run, spreading pressure across the bark instead of biting into it and keeping the strap from sliding. The whole set packs into its Patagium 15D ripstop stuff sack with a Sil/PU and DWR coating, dropping to 3 x 3 x 2.75 in.

These work with any hammock that hangs on carabiners or toggles. Carabiners are not included, so bring the hardware your hammock already uses. The trade-off for the weight: this is the fast-and-light strap, not the everyday backyard workhorse. If you want all-day abuse tolerance, the standard Python 10 is the heavier pick.

Overview

The Python 10 UL is a 3 oz pair of hammock suspension straps rated to 300 lb. SpiraLine webbing and a 20-loop daisy chain on each strap give you a no-stretch, fully adjustable hang at a fraction of the weight of standard straps.

Key features

  • 3.2 oz packed for the pair (3.0 oz trail weight); packs to 3 x 3 x 2.75 in in its stuff sack
  • 300 lb total weight rating
  • 10 ft per strap, 20 ft combined, with 20 daisy-chain loops per strap (40 total)
  • SpiraLine UHMWPE webbing, low-stretch, rated 15x stronger than steel by weight
  • Variable-width design tapers ~2 in to ~0.6 in to protect bark and resist slipping
  • Patagium 15D ripstop stuff sack with Sil/PU + DWR coating

Use cases

Built for fast-and-light backpacking where shaving ounces off your standard straps matters. They swap straight onto any hammock that already hangs on carabiners or toggles, so you can run the same hammock with a lighter suspension when the trip calls for it.
