Kammok Outpost Vehicle-Mounted Hammock Stand
Kammok Outpost Vehicle-Mounted Hammock Stand
The Kammok Outpost is a 22 lb aluminum hammock stand that mounts to your vehicle so you can hang a hammock anywhere — no trees required. One end anchors to a quick-release ball hitch in your roof or cross-bar rack; the three-piece crossbar and telescoping legs carry the other end out over the ground. Set up takes under 60 seconds with no tools, and it packs down to 52 inches long for the trunk of a small SUV.
The stand is rated to 350 lb — one person sleeping or two lounging. The crossbar runs a 144.5 inch ridge, long enough to lay a tall camper flat, and it works with the Kammok Mantis, Sunda, and Roo hammocks plus most 9-to-11-foot hammocks you already own. Telescoping legs and stake-able feet let you level the stand on sand, slickrock, or a gravel pad and keep it put when the hammock is off. The frame is powder-coated and anodized aluminum with UV-resistant reinforced nylon, built to ride outside in the weather.
What's in the box: one Outpost stand, two hammock hanging straps, and the stock mounting kit. The hammock is sold separately. The horizontal crossbar doubles as a tarp ridgeline with built-in line guides, so you can hang a tarp overhead for shade or rain cover and turn the stand into a shelter.

Does a hammock come with the Outpost?
No. You get the stand, two hammock hanging straps, and the stock mounting kit. The hammock is sold separately. It works with Kammok Mantis, Sunda, and Roo hammocks, plus most 9-to-11-foot hammocks you already own.
Will it fit my vehicle's rack?
The stock mounting kit fits most cross bars, basket racks, and platform-style t-slot racks. Rack designs vary, so confirm your specific rack against Kammok's mounting compatibility guide before you buy.
Can I use it freestanding without a vehicle?
No. The Outpost is built to mount to your vehicle — the stand-end anchors to a quick-release ball hitch in your rack, and that's what carries the load. The telescoping legs and stake-able feet level the free end on uneven ground and hold it steady when the hammock is off, but it is not a tree-free standalone ground stand.
How much weight does it hold?
The Outpost is rated to 350 lb. That's one person sleeping or two people lounging on the 144.5 inch ridge.
Will the frame hold up to weather and repeated use?
Yes. The frame is powder-coated and anodized aluminum with UV-resistant reinforced nylon and steel hardware, made to live outside on a rack. Wipe it down and let it dry before packing to keep the finish in good shape.
