Overview
The MAXTRAX Xtreme is a pair of heavy-duty traction boards in olive drab, built for loaded rigs and repeat recoveries. The alloy teeth and reinforced nylon take more abuse than the lighter MAXTRAX models.

Is this one board or a pair?
It is a pair — two boards. You place one under each drive tire so both wheels get traction at the same time.
How heavy a vehicle can the Xtreme handle?
The pair is rated for roughly 9,900 lb, and the Xtreme tier is aimed at loaded trucks and rigs over 10,000 lb. It is the heavy-duty model in the MAXTRAX range.
Can I drive my full vehicle weight onto them?
Yes. The fiber-reinforced nylon flexes under load and returns to shape. They have been tested under heavily loaded 4x4s.
Do the teeth wear out?
The 88 alloy teeth are hard-anodized to resist corrosion and wear. Spinning your tires on the boards strips teeth fast, so ease onto the throttle and let the tread grab. Each tooth is replaceable with a T-50 Torx bit.
How do I use them?
Clear loose sand or mud in front of each drive tire, wedge a board under teeth-up, then ease forward without spinning. The tapered board ends work as shovels for the digging step.
Will the sun fade the olive drab color?
The nylon is UV-stabilized, but long stretches in direct sun will fade the color and degrade the material over years. Store them shaded or bagged when you can.
