Does the FireCan Deluxe work during a fire ban?

What's the difference between the FireCan, FireCan Deluxe, and FireCan Elite?

What propane source does it connect to?

The QCC1 inlet connects to a standard 20-lb propane tank or 1-lb camping canisters (with an adapter). The included 5-ft quick-release hose reaches a standard tank sitting alongside the unit. There's also a quick-connect outlet port that lets you daisy-chain an Ignik Gas Growler or other propane accessory off the same connection.

Can I actually cook on it?

Yes — that's what the Deluxe configuration adds over the base FireCan. The removable stainless grill insert fits over the burner and handles direct grilling; the grease tray underneath catches drippings. Remove the grill insert to run it as a straight fire pit. The cooking area is limited by the unit's footprint (12 × 6 in), so it's breakfast-and-side-dish territory, not a full BBQ setup.
