Is the Dometic GLO-A400 waterproof?
It carries an IP65 rating, which means it's protected against dust and low-pressure water spray from any direction. It will shrug off rain and splashes, but it isn't meant to be submerged.
Can it charge my phone?
Yes. The 7000mAh battery doubles as a power bank, charging in through USB-C and pushing power back out through a USB-A port to top off a phone, headlamp, or other small device.
How long does the battery last and how long does it take to charge?
It runs up to 8 hours on the highest brightness setting and recharges fully in about 4 hours. Lower brightness levels stretch the runtime further.
What is the bug mode and does it actually help?
The amber (bug) mode shifts the light to a warm amber color that attracts fewer flying insects than cool white light, so you draw fewer bugs to your table or tent.
Can I hang it up?
Yes. It ships with an attachable hook so you can hang it inside a tent, RV, awning, or trailer for hands-free overhead light.
Do I need the app to use it, or can I run it with buttons?
You can run all of the modes from the buttons on the light itself. The Dometic Bluetooth app is optional and gives you full control of brightness, color, and scenes from your phone.
How bright is 400 lumens, and is it adjustable?
400 lumens is the peak output, bright enough to light a campsite or cook area. It has 4 brightness levels, so you can dial it down to a soft glow for relaxing by the fire.
What's the difference between using it with and without the dome?
With the frosted dome attached it works as a lantern, spreading a soft, even glow in all directions. Twist the dome off and it becomes a focused flashlight or downward area light.
