DMOS Flat Mate Shovel/Axe Mount

The DMOS Gear Up Flat Mate is a universal flat-surface tool mount machined from 6061 aluminum with stainless-steel hardware. It secures shovels, axes, and trail tools on any flat mounting surface — MOLLE panels, platform racks, cargo trays, truck beds, trailer walls, and van interiors.

Handle range: Reversible dual-size silicone grip pads fit tool handles from 0.95 to 1.75 inches in diameter. Flip the pads to switch between small and large grip diameter. The same mount holds a Nomad Pro shovel handle (small) and a Delta shovel handle (large) without modification.

Load capacity: Holds tools up to 10 lbs securely. DMOS shovels (2–6 lbs) and the Axpedition axe (7 lbs) all fall within spec.

Construction: Machined, anodized 6061 aluminum body with stainless-steel hardware for corrosion resistance in mud, rain, salt, and snow.

Security: Padlock-ready tab accepts any standard padlock (not included).

What tool handles does it fit?

Reversible silicone grip pads fit handles from 0.95 to 1.75 inches in diameter. This covers all DMOS shovel handles (Nomad, Compact Delta, Delta, Delta Pro, Stealth series) and the Axpedition axe. Flip the pads to switch between the small (0.95 in) and large (1.75 in) grip configuration.

Can I mount this on a MOLLE panel?

Yes. The Flat Mate mounts to standard MOLLE webbing using included hardware. It also mounts to cargo trays, platform racks, truck bed floors, and any flat panel with bolt access on the back side.

What's the difference between the Flat Mate and Full Mounty?

Flat Mate: mounts to flat surfaces (MOLLE, cargo trays, platform racks). Full Mounty: clamps to round bars (roll cages, roof rack tubes, UTV frames). Same tool compatibility, different mounting geometry.

Does it lock?

The padlock-ready tab accepts a standard padlock (sold separately). This prevents casual removal at trailheads and campsites. The tab does not come with a lock.

How hard is installation?

Typically 10-15 minutes with basic hand tools. Installation hardware is included. DMOS provides a PDF installation guide linked from the product page.
