DMOS Delta - Aluminum - Delta Mount

Overview

The DMOS Delta Shovel Mount is a powder-coated aluminum bracket that secures a DMOS Delta or Delta Pro shovel to a vehicle. Universal pre-drilled slots and included backing plates let it bolt to nearly any rack or panel.

Key features

• 10-gauge powder-coated aluminum construction; ~2.2 lb, 13 x 12.5 x 3.5 in
• Universal pre-drilled slots fit roof racks, bed racks, MOLLE panels, and roll bars
• Ships with 4 hex bolts, 8 washers, 4 nylon lock nuts, 2 backing plates, and a linchpin
• Clamp + linchpin hold the shovel tight on rough roads
• Lock tab accepts any standard padlock (padlock not included)

Use cases

Most owners run it up top on a roof rack to carry an overland recovery shovel, but the universal slot pattern also makes it a clean fit on truck bed-rack side panels, MOLLE-style panels, and rear swing-outs. Pick the orientation that keeps the shovel reachable and out of the way of the rest of your gear.

Which DMOS shovels does this mount fit?

It fits the full-size DMOS Delta and the Delta Pro. It does not fit the Compact Delta, so check which shovel you own before ordering.

What can I bolt it to?

The backing plate uses universal pre-drilled slots and ships with two backing plates and hardware, so it mounts to most roof racks, truck-bed racks, MOLLE panels, and roll bars.

Can I lock the shovel to the mount?

Yes. A built-in lock tab accepts any standard padlock, so you can leave the shovel on the rack at a trailhead. The padlock is not included.

Does the bracket scratch the shovel handle?

Over a lot of miles the clamp can rub the anodizing on the handle. It is cosmetic wear, not a structural problem, and the hold stays tight.

Does it hold the shovel securely off-road?

Yes. The clamp squeezes the handle and the linchpin keeps the shovel captive, so it moves very little even on washboard and rough dirt roads.
