ARB Essentials Series II Recovery Kit (RK11A)

The ARB Essentials Series II Recovery Kit (RK11A) packs a full snatch-recovery setup into one 600gsm PVC bag. Inside: a 17,600 lb kinetic snatch strap with reinforced eyes, a 19,800 lb Ultra Light snatch block, two 4.75t Type S galvanized shackles, a 10 ft tree protector, and a pair of leather gloves. That covers a vehicle-to-vehicle snatch and the makings of a winch-assist recovery without raiding three different bins.

The snatch strap is the centerpiece. It runs 29.5 ft (9 m) long, 2.36 in (60 mm) wide, and has a genuine 20% stretch that loads the recovery smoothly instead of jolting the recovery points. ARB rates it for vehicles with a GVM between 5,800 and 8,800 lb, which covers most 4WDs and mid-size trucks. The general rule: a strap's minimum breaking strength should be two to three times the GVM of the lighter vehicle in the pull.

The bag itself earns its keep. The 600gsm PVC outer wipes clean after a muddy day and keeps water off the gear, the multiple compartments keep each piece in its spot, and reflective strips help you find it at the roadside after dark. Heavy-duty buckles and a padded carry handle round it out.
