The Velit 3000R is the most powerful DC rooftop air conditioner in the Velit lineup. The high-output twin-cylinder rotary compressor delivers 10,000 BTU at 24V and 12,000 BTU at 48V — drawing as little as 6A at 48V. No inverter required. The unit includes a flush-mount motorized air distribution box that circulates air evenly across the interior rather than blowing from a fixed trim panel. At 7 in. of exterior clearance, it fits the same standard 14×14 in. rooftop cutout as the 2000R.
Available in 24V or 48V only — no 12V variant. Four color/voltage combinations: White or Black in each voltage. All priced at $2,449. The installation kit includes the AC unit, mounting brackets, sealing gasket, hardware, motorized air distribution box, remote, and a 15 ft wiring harness with in-line fuse (12AWG for 48V). Sealant required for van installs on curved or uneven surfaces; sold separately. Flat RV roof installs do not need sealant. One-year limited warranty.

Large van conversions, Class B RVs, and any build where the 2000R's 8,000–10,000 BTU ceiling isn't enough. The 3000R is 24V/48V only, making it a natural fit for builds already running higher-voltage solar and lithium systems. What's the difference between the 3000R and the 2000R?
The 3000R delivers 10,000 BTU at 24V and 12,000 BTU at 48V versus 9,000 and 10,000 BTU for the 2000R. It's physically larger (35.8 × 35.4 in. vs. 31.5 × 31.5 in.) and heavier (~75 lb vs. 66 lb). The 3000R also uses a flush-mount motorized air distribution box instead of a fixed interior trim panel, which distributes air more evenly. The 3000R is 24V/48V only; the 2000R is available in 12V, 24V, and 48V.
Why is there no 12V version of the 3000R?
At 12,000 BTU, the power draw at 12V would exceed what most vehicle electrical systems can sustain — and the wiring gauge required would be impractical. The 3000R is optimized for 24V and 48V systems, where it draws 13–40A and 8–25A respectively. If your build is 12V, the 2000R (8,000 BTU at 12V) or 2000R Mini (7,000 BTU at 12V) are the right choices.
How much battery capacity do I need?
At 48V eco, the 3000R draws as little as 6A (288 Wh/hr). A 200 Ah 48V lithium bank gives you well over 30 hours at eco draw — or roughly 8 hours at the 25A high end (1,200 Wh/hr). At 24V, draw is 13–40A (312–960 Wh/hr). Size your bank to the voltage you choose and pair with solar for sustained off-grid use.
What is the motorized air distribution box?
The 3000R uses a flush-mount motorized air distribution box (ADB) in place of the fixed interior trim panel used on the 2000R and 2000R Mini. The ADB has motorized louvers that distribute conditioned air across a wider area of the cabin rather than directing it in a fixed direction. This reduces hot spots and gives more even cooling in larger or open-plan interiors.
Does the installation require sealant?
Sealant is required for van installs or any surface that is curved or uneven — it prevents water intrusion around the gasket. For flat RV roof installs, sealant is not needed. Sealant is not included in the kit and must be purchased separately.
Does it fit the same cutout as the 2000R?
Yes. The 3000R fits any standard 14×14 in. rooftop cutout with 7 in. of exterior clearance — the same opening as the 2000R. The exterior footprint is larger (35.8 × 35.4 in. vs. 31.5 × 31.5 in.), so it occupies more roof surface, but the cutout dimension is identical.
