What powers it — is a battery included?
No battery in the box. It runs off any 5V USB source: a power bank, a vehicle USB port, or a solar panel's USB output.
Can I leave it out in the rain?
Yes. The string is rated IP65, so rain and dust are fine. Keep the USB connector and the remote out of standing water — IP65 is splash and rain, not submersion.
How do the colors and modes work?
The wireless remote cycles 8 solid colors and 200+ modes, including fade, flash, and dimmer steps. Set it once and the string holds the mode.
How long is it and how much does it cover?
34 ft of coated-copper string — enough to wrap a rooftop tent's perimeter and run down an awning arm.
Does it use much power?
No. It draws only a few watts, so it'll run a long time off a mid-size power bank without killing your phone charge.
How do I pack it without wrecking the wire?
Coil it loosely. The coated-copper wire holds a bend on purpose, so tight kinks can stress it over time.
