Overview
The Rollercam Traction Board Tie-Down System secures traction boards to a rear-mounted spare tire with four cam-buckle straps and no hardware to install. It mounts by looping through the wheel spokes, so it fits most wheel and tire setups out of the box.
Key features
- Four-strap kit: two 31-inch free-end straps, two 22-inch buckle-end straps, all 1-inch webbing
- 350 lb working load limit per strap, built to a 3:1 safety factor
- Rollercam buckle: tighten and re-tension by hand, release with a one-hand thumb press, cannot be over-tightened
- Sewn loop end keeps the strap captured on the spoke even with the cam released
- High-tenacity polypropylene webbing, triple bar-tack stitched with T-135 polyester thread
- Corrosion-resistant Zamak buckle body, marine-grade brass roller, stainless steel shaft and springs
Use cases
Keeps traction boards locked to the spare for quick trailhead access without bolting on a dedicated mount. The same cam straps double as general-purpose tie-downs for a jerry can, cooler, or folding table when the boards are off the truck.

Will these fit my wheels?
The kit is one-size-fits-most. Double-loop the straps around smaller spokes or single-loop the larger ones to place the buckle where you can reach it. That looping trick is how it adapts to different wheel and tire setups.
How much weight will they hold?
Each 1-inch strap carries a 350 lb working load limit and is built to a 3:1 safety factor, so the break point sits well above the rated load.
Will a strap slip loose on a rough trail?
No. The Rollercam buckle holds under tension and vibration without creeping. The sewn loop end is a second layer of safety: even if the cam releases, the strap stays captured on the spoke.
Can I tighten and release them with one hand?
Yes. Pull the strap tight with one hand, and the brass roller does the work of a two-handed yank. To let go, press the thumb release and the cam drops the tension.
Can I re-snug them after driving?
Yes, by hand, any time. The cam re-tensions without tools and cannot be over-cranked the way a ratchet can, so it is safe to keep tugging until the boards sit dead-tight.
How do I keep the buckle from corroding?
The buckle body is corrosion-resistant Zamak, the roller is marine-grade brass, and the shaft and springs are stainless steel. After a salty or muddy run, rinse the webbing and buckle and let them dry.
