TapRack Refillable Propane System
TapRack Refillable Propane System
The Ignik TapRack Refillable Propane System replaces disposable 1 lb green propane bottles with four refillable 15.5 oz steel cylinders and a dedicated refill rack. The system is designed to be refilled at propane service stations — not via DIY transfer methods — using the TapRack rack, which seats all four cylinders simultaneously and connects to a standard propane service station valve. Quarter-turn cylinder connections are designed to reduce cross-threading at the fill station.
The individual cylinders disconnect from the rack and connect directly to any appliance that accepts standard 1 lb propane bottle connections: camp stoves, lanterns, Ignik FireCan fire pits, portable heaters, and similar equipment. Steel construction throughout. UL, DOT, and Transport Canada certified. System dimensions: 10.1 × 10.1 × 17.6 in; empty weight 12 lb (5,443g). Once filled, you pull cylinders from the rack individually as needed and leave the rack stored until the next refill stop.
The TapRack cylinders are not interchangeable with single-use green bottle refill methods — they refill through the TapRack rack at a service station, not from a larger propane source at home. Propane not included; fill before first use.

Use cases
The TapRack is for overlanders and campers who run appliances (camp stoves, lanterns, portable heaters, Ignik FireCan accessories) off standard 1 lb small propane bottles and want to stop buying disposables. Fill all four cylinders at a gas station or RV park before a trip, disconnect them from the rack, and use them individually across your appliances. The rack stays in storage until the next refill. Pairs naturally with camp kitchen setups running small-bottle appliances.

How do I refill the TapRack cylinders?
Seat all four cylinders in the TapRack rack and take it to a propane service station. The rack connects to the station's propane valve and fills all four cylinders simultaneously. This is a service-station refill process — TapRack cylinders are not designed for at-home refill from a larger propane source.
Can I refill them at any propane station?
At any propane station that fills portable cylinders and is set up to accommodate the TapRack connection. Not all stations fill cylinders smaller than 20 lb — call ahead before making the trip. The refill process uses the TapRack rack rather than a standard individual-cylinder connection.
Do the cylinders work with standard camp stoves and appliances?
Yes. After filling, the cylinders disconnect from the rack and connect directly to any appliance that uses standard 1 lb small-bottle connections: camp stoves, lanterns, Ignik FireCan accessories, portable propane heaters, and similar equipment.
Can I refill them at home from a larger tank?
No. TapRack cylinders refill through the TapRack rack at a propane service station, not via DIY transfer from a larger propane source. Ignik's design is a professional service-station fill workflow.
How many cylinders come in the system?
The kit includes one TapRack refill rack and four refillable 15.5 oz cylinders. Additional cylinders are not included — the system as shipped runs four at a time.
What size appliances do they fit?
The TapRack cylinders fit any appliance designed for standard 1 lb (16 oz nominal, 15.5 oz actual fill) disposable green propane bottles. They are a direct replacement for Coleman, Bernzomatic, and similar small propane canisters.
