Does the 900 really sleep two people?
It can, but it is tight. At 900 mm (35 in) wide the Bandit 900 is the narrowest model in the line. One adult sleeps comfortably with room for gear; two adults fit only if they pack close. Couples who want elbow room should size up to a wider Bandit.
Is it freestanding?
Yes. The segmental-arch stainless poles hold the swag's shape without stakes, so you can pitch it on a deck or tray. Peg the four corners down once it's positioned — freestanding does not mean wind-proof.
Will the floor keep water out?
The floor is a 550 GSM HF-welded PVC bucket that rides up the sidewalls, and the seams are HF seam-tape-sealed. That combination is built to stop ground water from wicking in underneath you.
Do I need a separate mattress or sleeping pad?
No. A 70 mm (2.75 in) high-density foam mattress is fitted inside. Most users add only a sleeping bag or quilt on top.
