Soft Shell Gear Loft

Overview

Universal overhead storage loft for soft shell rooftop tents. Attaches to the tent's internal frame with no tools and keeps small gear off the mattress and within reach.

Key features

• Attaches to the internal frame of most soft shell rooftop tents — tool-free, no drilling
• Universal fit across most soft shell RTT models
• Holds light personal items: jackets, clothing, headlamps, phone, glasses
• About 1 lb; packs flat and ships in a 5 x 5 x 5 in box
• Stays installed when the tent folds down
• Soft shell specific — not for hard shell wedge or clamshell tents

Use cases

Run it as overhead storage to keep the sleeping floor clear, or as a night-stand so your headlamp, phone, and glasses are overhead and findable in the dark. Good for keeping jackets and clothing up off a damp tent floor on humid or rainy nights.

Will it fit my rooftop tent?

It's a universal loft built for the internal frame of most soft shell rooftop tents. It is not designed for hard shell wedge or clamshell tents, which have a different internal geometry. Most soft shell models work, though an unusual frame layout can affect fit.

What can I store in it?

Light personal items — jackets, base layers, a headlamp, your phone, glasses, and other small odds and ends. It's meant to keep that stuff off the mattress and within reach, not to haul heavy gear.

How does it attach, and do I need tools?

It clips to the tent's existing internal frame. No drilling, no extra hardware, no tools. It stays put when you fold the tent down, so you set it up once.

Is there a weight limit?

23ZERO doesn't publish a weight rating, so treat it as a light-duty loft: clothing and electronics, not heavy boxes or hardware. Overloading any suspended mesh loft stresses the attachment points.

How do I keep it from getting funky?

Let it dry before you fold the tent down on it. Soft shell tents trap moisture when packed wet, and a damp loft folded into a closed tent is how mildew starts. A quick wipe and air-out keeps the mesh fresh.
