Scepter Overland Water Pump Adapter Kit
Scepter Overland Water Pump Adapter Kit
The Lone Rock Concepts Scepter Overland Water Pump Adapter Kit converts any tan or green Scepter water container (10L / 2.5-gallon and 20L / 5-gallon) into an on-demand pressurized faucet. The kit centers on a USB-C rechargeable electric pump and a patented CNC-machined UHMWPE adapter (US Patent No. 12,474,000) that threads directly onto the Scepter container's cap — no modification, no permanent hardware. Rated 30 gallons or 30 days per charge, whichever comes first. Kit weighs 397g (14 oz). A 30-second auto-shutoff stops the pump between pours.
The Scepter 20L holds 44 lbs when full. The standard way to get water out is tipping the whole thing — which means lifting it onto a table, tilting it over a pot, and hoping gravity cooperates. The pump eliminates that entirely: container stays on the ground or a low shelf, consistent pressure from first pour to last regardless of fill level. The 304 stainless steel spout is reversible for a drinking fountain orientation. USB-C charging runs off any power bank, vehicle outlet, or solar panel with a USB-C port.
Fits tan and green Scepter water containers labeled "SCEPTER" in 10L (2.5-gal) and 20L (5-gal) sizes. Does not fit blue Scepter cans with yellow hose — those use the Lone Rock Concepts RotopaX Overland Water Pump Adapter Kit instead. No filtration — use pre-filtered water. Scepter container not included. Kit includes: electric pump, CNC adapter, USB-C charging cable, food-grade silicone hose, 304 stainless steel spout, storage pouch.

Overview
USB-C rechargeable pump kit that threads onto tan and green Scepter water containers (10L and 20L) and delivers on-demand pressurized water at camp. 30 gallons or 30 days per charge. 397g kit weight.
Key features
- USB-C rechargeable electric pump — 30 gallons / 30 days per charge; 30-second auto-shutoff between uses
- Patented CNC-machined UHMWPE adapter (US Patent No. 12,474,000) — threads onto Scepter cap; no permanent modification
- Fits both Scepter sizes — 10L (2.5-gal) and 20L (5-gal) tan and green containers
- Food-grade silicone hose + 304 stainless steel spout — reversible for faucet or drinking fountain orientation; all water-contact parts food-safe
- Storage pouch included — kit packs away with the container
Use cases
Camp kitchen and hand-washing station where the Scepter 20L serves as the primary water source. The pump keeps the container on the ground or a low surface — no lifting a full 44-lb jug to pour. Equally practical for the 10L for solo trips and day hikes where a smaller container covers daily water needs without the weight. The auto-shutoff and consistent pressure make it practical for dish washing, hand rinsing, and drinking water access without monitoring the pump.

Does this fit both the 10L and 20L Scepter?
Yes. The adapter fits both the 10L (2.5-gallon) and 20L (5-gallon) tan and green Scepter water containers. Both sizes share the same cap thread geometry, so one adapter covers both.
I have a blue Scepter with a yellow hose — does this fit?
No. The blue Scepter military water can with yellow hose uses a different cap thread profile than the commercial tan and green Scepter containers. For blue Scepter cans, use the Lone Rock Concepts RotopaX Overland Water Pump Adapter Kit — that kit is confirmed compatible with the blue Scepter / yellow hose variant.
How does the adapter attach?
The CNC-machined adapter threads directly onto the Scepter container's existing cap opening. No drilling, no permanent modification. Remove the factory cap, thread on the adapter, and the pump draws water through the food-grade silicone hose. The original cap can be stored and reinstalled.
How long does the charge last?
30 gallons or 30 days, whichever comes first. The 30-second auto-shutoff between pours helps preserve charge life. Recharges via the included USB-C cable from any USB-C power source — power bank, vehicle outlet, or solar charger.
Does the pressure drop as the container empties?
No. The electric pump delivers consistent pressure regardless of fill level — that's the primary improvement over tipping or gravity-feeding from the factory cap. A near-empty Scepter 20L delivers the same flow as a full one.
Are the water-contact parts food-safe?
Yes. The adapter is machined from UHMWPE food-safe polyethylene, the hose is food-grade silicone, and the spout is 304 stainless steel. The kit has no filtration capability — use pre-filtered water.
Does the Scepter container come with the kit?
No. The kit includes the pump, CNC adapter, USB-C charging cable, silicone hose, stainless spout, and storage pouch only. Scepter water containers are sold separately.
