Will the Mini work for a full-size truck?
It can help on a moderate stuck, but it's built for lighter rigs. The 25-inch deck gives less run-up than a full 45-inch board, so for a heavy truck buried in deep sand or bog, full-size MAXTRAX boards pull harder. For ATVs, UTVs, vans, and small SUVs, the Mini is right-sized.
How do I use them?
Use the shovel ends to clear loose material from the front of your drive tires, then wedge a board under each tire's leading edge. Drive on with gentle throttle. The 44 teeth grip both the tire tread and the ground so you climb out instead of spinning.
Can I join them to a full-size MAXTRAX set?
Yes. They link to other MAXTRAX boards using the MAXTRAX Fixing & Linking Kit (sold separately) to extend the recovery length when you need it.
Will I wear out the teeth?
Don't spin the tires on them. Spinning generates heat that can glaze or melt the teeth. Easy, steady throttle keeps the teeth intact and gets you moving more reliably anyway.
How do I store and maintain them?
The pair stacks to 3.5 inches and carries by built-in handles, so it fits a trunk, cargo box, or behind a seat. The nylon is UV-stabilised; rinse grit and salt off after beach, snow, or mud use to keep them clean.
