Are the Minis enough board for a full-size truck?
They use the same 13-inch width and tread cleats as the full boards, so tire grip is identical. The 25-inch length gives you less runway per placement, so they're best for moderate stucks and lighter rigs. For deep bog under a heavy truck, the longer 45-inch boards are the better call.
What vehicle weight are they rated for?
MaxTrax designs and warranties them for vehicles under 7,750 lb (3,500 kg).
Will they fade or get brittle in the sun?
No. The nylon is UV-stabilised, so it resists fading and degradation from sun exposure. The set carries a limited lifetime warranty against faulty materials and workmanship.
Can I join them to other MaxTrax boards?
Yes. The keyhole accessory points accept the MaxTrax Fixing and Linking Kit, so you can join boards end-to-end for more length or mount them on a rack.
How do I get the most grip without damaging them?
Ease the tire onto the board at low revs instead of spinning it. Hard wheelspin can overheat and melt the cleats - slow and steady puts the power down and protects the board.
Any maintenance?
Rinse off sand, grit, and mud after a recovery. The UV-stable nylon doesn't need sealing or treatment.
