Will it cover my hammock, and can two hammocks fit under it?
Yes. The 144 x 108 in canopy spans a hammock end-to-end with room for the suspension. Pitched as a flat awning or A-frame, it can shelter two hammocks side-by-side or up to seven seated people.
Do I need to buy stakes and guy lines separately?
No. It ships complete with 8 stakes, 10 guylines, 2 ridgeline cords, and a stuff sack. The stakes tuck into dedicated sleeves on the stuff sack so they pack with the tarp.
Can I pitch it without trees?
Yes. Use trekking poles with the included stakes and the 10 guyout points to pitch it as a ground shelter. The knotless line-locks let you set peak height fast.
Does the reflective interior actually keep me warmer?
It reflects radiant heat back down into the shelter, which helps on cold nights. It is a reflective coating, not insulation, so pair it with a quilt or underquilt for real cold.
Is this a winter mountaineering tent?
No. It is a storm tarp, not a four-wall snow-load structure. With a low, tight pitch and the storm doors closed it handles hard rain, snow, and wind, but it is not built to carry packed snow on a flat roof.
