How does it get cold — do I need ice or a freezer?
Neither. Wet the towel with a small amount of water, wring it out, and snap it through the air a few times. Evaporation pulls heat off the fabric and drops it below the surrounding air temperature for up to two hours.
Is it reusable or one-and-done?
Reusable. When it warms back up, re-wet it, wring it out, and snap it again to re-chill. There are no batteries, gels, or chemicals to run out of.
How does it perform in humid weather?
It is evaporative cooling, so it works hardest in dry heat. In high humidity the cooling is milder and you will need to re-wet it more often to keep it cold.
Will it smell after a sweaty day?
It has a silver-ion antimicrobial treatment that fights the bacteria responsible for odor. Rinse it out and let it air-dry between uses to keep it fresh.
How do I wash it without wrecking the cooling?
Hand or machine wash in cold or warm water — never hot. Skip fabric softener and high-heat drying, both of which clog the microfiber and hurt how it wicks. Air-dry and store it in the mesh bag rather than sealed up wet.
