The Field Blanket is made with the same strong Diamond Shell™ 40D nylon as our Roo hammocks. Treated with a Durable Water Repellent finish, the Field camping blanket is resistant to rips, dirt, and moisture. The interior is lined with a lightweight, DWR coated microfleece, providing comfort and protection in unexpected conditions.

Snaps along the edge of the Field Blanket helps it to easily transform into different modes. The Field Blanket is your trusty picnic blanket on sunny park days, or minimalist sleeping bag for unexpected overnight excursions. A center opening in the blanket turns it into a stylish, yet functional poncho, a wearable blanket for staying warm and dry, while keeping your hands free. Flip the microfleece-lined stuff sack inside out, and stuff it for a backup pillow.

The Field Blanket is Kammok's lower-bulk camp and picnic blanket: an 84 by 50 in panel of 40D ripstop nylon with a PU-waterproofed shell, lined with microfleece, weighing about 2 lb 13 oz. It is the lighter, smaller-packing, lower-cost counterpart to the warmer Mountain Blanket.

Is the Field Blanket warm enough to sleep under?
It is the lighter, less-insulated member of the All Adventure Blanket line, so it shines as a 3-season picnic, lounge, and cool-night wrap rather than a heavy winter quilt. For colder conditions, snap two blankets together or pair it with the warmer Mountain Blanket.
How is it different from the Mountain Blanket?
The Field Blanket is lighter, packs smaller, and costs less; the Mountain Blanket is warmer and heavier. Both use the same loop-and-snap system, so they layer together for added warmth.
Can it really turn into a poncho and a pillow?
Yes. A center opening turns it into a hands-free poncho. To make a backup pillow, flip the microfleece stuff sack inside out and stuff the blanket into it.
Is the fabric waterproof?
No. The 40D ripstop shell has a PU water-resistant coating and the microfleece lining is DWR-treated, so they shed dirt, dew, and light moisture. That finish is water-resistant, not a waterproof membrane — count on it for damp ground and drizzle, not a steady downpour.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with no fabric softener, then hang dry or tumble dry low. Softener and high heat break down the DWR finish over time.
