Dometic Hardwiring Kit - DC
Dometic Hardwiring Kit - DC
The Dometic DC Hardwiring Kit is a 12V power run that takes battery power from your starter or auxiliary battery and delivers it to a fixed outlet panel anywhere in your rig. It ships with 20 feet (6 m) of 10 AWG cable, eyelet terminals at the battery end, and a 15 A blade fuse already in line, so you bolt it down and go.
The panel carries two outlet types: a standard 12V DC socket for plug-style cords and a 2-pin threaded DC socket for a locked-in, vibration-proof connection. That covers a portable fridge/freezer on a plug today and a hardwired accessory tomorrow. At 15 A on a 12V feed you have roughly 180 W to work with — plenty for most portable DC coolers and 12V gear, but check your appliance's rated draw before you load both outlets at once.
The outlet housing measures 4.5 in W x 3.5 in D x 2.2 in H and mounts to any flat surface or panel — a drawer face, cargo wall, slide, or cabinet. Whole kit weighs 2.62 lb (1.2 kg). Everything you need to make the connection is in the box: cable, terminals, and fuse.

Overview
A 12V DC hardwiring kit that runs battery power to a fixed two-outlet panel. Includes a 20 ft (6 m) 10 AWG cable, eyelet terminals, and an in-line 15 A blade fuse.
Key features
- 20 ft (6 m) of 10 AWG cable with eyelet terminals for a starter or auxiliary battery
- In-line 15 A blade fuse included (~180 W at 12V)
- Two outlets: standard 12V DC socket plus a 2-pin threaded DC socket
- Outlet housing mounts to any flat surface or panel: 4.5 in W x 3.5 in D x 2.2 in H
- 2.62 lb (1.2 kg) complete kit, terminals and fuse in the box
Use cases
Wire a portable 12V fridge or freezer to a starter or auxiliary battery, or add a fixed 12V outlet panel to a drawer, cargo area, or cabinet in an overland or off-road build. The dual-outlet panel lets one battery feed power both a plug-style cord and a hardwired threaded connection.
- Cable length: 20 ft (6 m)
- Cable gauge: 10 AWG
- Cable termination: eyelet (ring) terminals
- Fuse: 15 A blade fuse (in-line, included)
- Outlets: 1 standard 12V DC socket + 1 2-pin threaded DC socket
- Outlet housing (W x D x H): 4.5 in x 3.5 in x 2.2 in (114 x 89 x 56 mm)
- Mounting: universal, any flat surface or panel
- Power source: starter or auxiliary battery (12V)
- Approx. capacity: ~180 W at 12V (15 A)
- Weight: 2.62 lb (1.2 kg)
Can I connect this to my starter battery or do I need a second battery?
Either works. The 10 AWG cable ends in eyelet terminals that bolt to a starter or auxiliary 12V battery, then runs power to the outlet panel.
How long is the cable and what gauge?
20 ft (6 m) of 10 AWG cable, fused in line at 15 A.
Will the 15 A fuse handle a portable fridge?
15 A on a 12V feed is about 180 W, which covers most portable DC fridges and coolers. Check your appliance's rated draw, and avoid stacking high-draw loads on both outlets at the same time.
What can I plug into the two outlets?
One outlet is a standard 12V DC socket for plug-style cords; the other is a 2-pin threaded DC socket for a locked-in, vibration-resistant connection.
Does it come with the fuse and terminals?
Yes. The 15 A blade fuse and the eyelet (ring) terminals are included on the cable.
