The Kammok Crosswing Side Mount Kit is the hardware that bolts a Crosswing awning to the side of your rack instead of the top. It fits both Crosswing sizes and mounts straight to t-slot crossbars; for bars without t-slots, it pairs with the Crosswing's included clamp plates. The kit ships with two side mount brackets, two riser brackets, and stainless steel hardware, all in powder-coated steel.

Side mounting is the answer when the roof is already spoken for. Run a rooftop tent and the Side Mount Kit tucks the awning underneath it, so the whole top of the rack stays open for the tent and cargo. Drop the awning lower on the brackets and you get a low-profile setup that clears a tight garage a top mount would not. Three angle positions — flat at 0 degrees, tilted up 12.5 degrees, or down 12.5 degrees — let you shed water or chase shade.

Multiple mounting points let you slide the awning closer to or farther from the vehicle to work around boxes, racks, and tent feet you already have up there. Install runs about 30 minutes for anyone comfortable mounting roof accessories, and all the fasteners are in the box. The Crosswing awning itself is sold separately — this is the mount, not the awning.

Overview

The Crosswing Side Mount Kit attaches a Kammok Crosswing awning to the side of a vehicle rack, freeing the roof for a tent or cargo. It fits both Crosswing sizes and mounts to t-slot crossbars or, with the Crosswing's clamp plates, to bars without t-slots.

Key features

  • Mounts the Crosswing at 0 degrees, +12.5 degrees, or -12.5 degrees
  • Includes 2 side mount brackets, 2 riser brackets, and stainless steel hardware
  • Powder-coated steel brackets with stainless fasteners
  • Multiple mounting points adjust the awning closer to or farther from the vehicle, and higher or lower on the brackets
  • Fits both Crosswing awning sizes; works with t-slot crossbars or the Crosswing's clamp plates

Use cases

Built for rigs that are already running a rooftop tent, cargo box, or full roof rack. Side-mount the awning to keep roof real estate free, or drop it low for a garage-friendly profile. Host crossbars should span at least 40 inches, be no more than 1.5 inches in tube diameter, and leave at least 4 inches of clearance between the bar and the roof.
