Do I have to buy the waste bags separately?
The toilet ships with one GO Anywhere kit, so you can use it out of the box. After that, refill kits and Poo Powder bags are consumable and sold separately. Each bag is single-use, so buy refills based on how many uses you expect on a trip.
How does the waste system work — is it messy?
It's a dry system, not a tank. You drop a bag into the mesh liner, and the Poo Powder gels liquid waste in about 20 seconds while helping control odor. When you're done, fold the waste bag down into its zip-close outer bag, seal it, and put it in the trash. No mixing, no holding tank, no dump station.
Does it smell?
The gelling powder and the sealable outer bag keep odor down well for a portable toilet. The trick is sealing the bag promptly after use instead of leaving it open. Don't reuse a bag — each one is meant for a single use.
Will it hold an adult? How sturdy is it?
It's rated to support up to 500 lbs and sits at near-standard toilet height, so it's usable for most adults. The four legs telescope out and lock, and the design is meant to stay stable on uneven ground.
How small does it pack?
It folds flat to about 19 × 4 × 15 in — roughly briefcase size — and weighs 7 lbs with a built-in carry handle. It slides behind a seat, into a gear box, or under a bench without taking much room.
What can I use it for besides camping?
Common uses are vans and overland rigs without a built-in head, river and permit trips that require packing waste out, tailgates, and jobsites. A lot of owners also keep one folded at home as a backup for storms and power or water outages.
Where is it made?
It's made in the USA. One toilet, one GO Anywhere toilet kit, and an instruction sheet come in the box.
