1" Straight End
1" Straight End
This is the strap that started it all—the original 1” Straight End Rollercam® Strap. Built for those who refuse to compromise on strength and reliability, this tie-down is engineered to outperform and outlast standard cam buckle straps. Whether you’re securing a roof rack load, strapping down gear in the truck bed, or locking in your next off-grid adventure, Rollercam’s patented technology delivers maximum holding power with minimal effort.
Unlike traditional cam buckles that generate friction and fight against you, the Rollercam® design eliminates drag, allowing for a smoother, tighter, and more secure hold. The result? A cam strap that pulls easier, holds stronger, and stays locked under tension. No slipping, no struggling—just a rock-solid grip that won’t let go until you do.

Overview
The Rollercam 1-Inch Cam Strap with a straight end is a finished cargo tie-down: a patented cam buckle, attached webbing, and a plain flat tail. You buy it in the length and color you need and use it right away. The straight tail has no anchor hardware, which makes it the all-purpose pick for wrap-and-cinch securing or feeding through an anchor you already have.
Key features
- Patented Rollercam cam buckle: brass roller cuts friction; snugs 3-5x tighter than a standard cam and re-tensions after the load settles.
- Straight (flat) finished end: plain tail, no hook/loop/carabiner; feeds back through the cam for wrap-around cinching.
- 350 lb working load limit per strap, 3:1 safety factor (max load ~1,050 lb). Not for lifting or climbing.
- UV-stabilized polypropylene webbing, T-135 thread, triple bar tack; metal cam (Zamak body, brass roller, stainless shaft and springs).
- One-handed thumb release, woven-in length markers, and a choice of 1 ft to 20 ft lengths in two colors, single or 4-pack.
Use cases
Built for overland and off-road tie-down: coolers, gear boxes, firewood, spare tires, and rooftop or rack loads. Run these in truck beds and on roof racks where a strap can't be allowed to creep loose on dirt and washboard.

Is this a finished strap, or do I have to build it?
It's a finished, ready-to-use strap: the cam buckle on one end and attached webbing ending in a plain flat (straight) tail. Nothing to assemble and no webbing to buy separately. Pick the length and color you need and cinch your load.
How much can it hold?
Each strap has a 350 lb working load limit with a 3:1 safety factor, so the max load is roughly 1,050 lb. It's a cargo tie-down, not a lifting or climbing strap.
Does it slip on washboard or rough roads?
No. The patented cam holds tension without backing off under vibration, so the strap doesn't creep over months of highway and dirt miles. After the load settles, you can pull the tail again to re-snug it tight.
How do I tighten and release it?
Thread the flat tail through the cam, pull the slack out, then tug to tension; the internal brass roller cuts friction so it pulls easier than a standard cam. To let go, press the thumb release with one hand.
What's the webbing made of, and how does it hold up in sun and water?
UV-stabilized high-tenacity polypropylene, stitched with T-135 thread and a triple bar tack. It resists UV and abrasion and keeps its grip when wet. Rinse grit out of the cam now and then; the stainless shaft and brass roller shrug off corrosion.
How is the straight end different from the loop, hook, or carabiner versions?
The straight end is a plain flat tail, the all-purpose pick. You wrap the load and feed the tail back through the cam, or run it through an anchor you already have. Choose a loop, hook, or carabiner strap when you want a fixed connector to clip or hook onto a permanent point.
What lengths and colors can I get?
Lengths run from 1 ft to 20 ft, in Expedition Grey (orange length markers) or Classic Blue (yellow length markers), sold individually or in a 4-pack. Pick the length that matches your load so you're not coiling extra slack.
