The Velit 2000R is a DC-powered rooftop air conditioner for RVs, camper vans, and truck campers running 12V, 24V, or 48V electrical systems. The twin-cylinder rotary compressor delivers 8,000 BTU at 12V, 9,000 BTU at 24V, and 10,000 BTU at 48V — drawing directly from your battery bank with no inverter required. At 12V it draws 20–60A depending on load; at 48V, 5–18A. TÜV certified, R32 refrigerant, 250 CFM airflow.

The unit mounts to any standard 14×14 in. rooftop cutout with 7 in. of exterior clearance. Rated for ambient temps up to 126°F. Below 40°F ambient, do not operate — frost risk on the coil. Available in white or black. Weighs 66 lb. The installation kit includes the AC unit, mounting brackets, sealing gasket, hardware, interior trim panel, remote, and a 15 ft wiring harness with in-line fuse (6 AWG for 12V, 8 AWG for 24V, 12 AWG for 48V). Sealant is required for van installs on uneven or curved surfaces and sold separately; flat RV roof installs do not need it.

Overview

DC-powered rooftop air conditioner for 12V, 24V, and 48V systems. Runs directly off your battery bank — no inverter or generator required. Fits standard 14×14 in. rooftop cutouts with 7 in. exterior clearance.

Key features

  • Twin-cylinder rotary DC compressor — 8,000 BTU (12V) / 9,000 BTU (24V) / 10,000 BTU (48V); draws 20–60A (12V), 10–33A (24V), 5–18A (48V)
  • No inverter required — runs directly on DC from battery bank or vehicle alternator
  • TÜV certified, R32 refrigerant — eco-friendly refrigerant; 250 CFM airflow; 55 dB eco / 65 dB boost
  • Low-profile mount — 7 in. exterior clearance; fits standard 14×14 in. rooftop cutouts
  • Three voltage options — 12V, 24V, or 48V DC to match your existing electrical system

Use cases

Cooling a camper van, Class B RV, truck camper, or boat cabin without shore power, a generator, or an inverter. The 12V version runs off most vehicle alternators while driving. The 48V version at Eco draw (5–18A) pairs with a 200+ Ah lithium bank for sustained overnight cooling off-grid.
