What do I plug these into — is a battery included?
No battery is included. They run off any 5V USB source — a power bank, your rig's USB port, or a 12V-to-USB adapter.
Will they survive rain on the awning?
Yes. They're IP65 rated, sealed against dust and rain, so they handle a wet night on an open awning. Don't submerge them.
Can I dim them?
Yes. The inline cable dimmer runs from full bright down to a low glow.
How much power do they pull?
Under 5W at full brightness. A small power bank keeps them lit all night.
Cold white or warm white — which do I want?
Cold white is the daylight-tone option. It's brighter and crisper for task work like cooking, gear sorting, and repairs. Warm white is softer mood lighting.
Can I leave them mounted between trips?
Yes. The coated copper string is light enough to leave strung on a tent or awning rail. Coil it loosely when you do pack it up to avoid kinking the wire.
