TRUKD T Series 18.5" Bed Rack
TRUKD T Series 18.5" Bed Rack
The TRUKD T Series 18.5" Bed Rack sits just below cab height on most full-size trucks — the midpoint between low-profile utility and a rack with enough clearance for a rooftop tent. Load rating: 300 lb driving (150 lb per bar), 1,000 lb parked (500 lb per bar). Powder-coated aluminum extrusion, textured black finish. Lifetime warranty. Made in Pittsburgh, PA.
At 18.5", the rack clears soft-shell RTTs and fold-flat designs fully. Wedge-style and pop-up hard-shell RTTs need the 24.5" height for proper hinge clearance — 18.5" doesn't clear the hinge arc on most clamshell-style tents. For builds without a tent, 18.5" is the practical height for recovery gear, accessory panels, and bike mounts — real crossbar elevation without the wind resistance and clearance penalty of the 24.5" profile. On most full-size trucks the uprights sit near cab roofline, keeping highway aerodynamics manageable.
Available for 11 truck platforms across 25 variants. Tacoma gets Utility Rail and T-Slot Tonneau only; RAM (Classic/Tapered Bed) gets T-Slot only; Tundra, Jeep Gladiator, Nissan Frontier, and Titan get all three mount styles. The T-Slot Tonneau variant allows rack-over-tonneau operation with compatible tonneau covers. TRUKD V2 6.5" and 12.5" accessory panels are fully compatible — position panels at the top of the 18.5" brackets.

Use cases
The 18.5" T Series is the right height for truck owners who want to run a rooftop tent without the full 24.5" profile. Soft RTTs and low-fold designs work at 18.5" while keeping the overall height manageable for parking structures and wind resistance. Also the go-to height for side-panel gear walls, bike mounts, and recovery gear on builds that move between trail and daily driving.

What rooftop tents fit the 18.5" T Series?
Soft-shell RTTs and fold-flat designs work well at 18.5". Wedge-style and pop-up hard-shell RTTs generally need the 24.5" height for proper hinge clearance when opening.
What's the height difference between the 18.5" and 24.5" T Series?
Six inches. The 18.5" stays closer to cab height on most full-size trucks, which reduces wind resistance and helps with low-clearance situations. The 24.5" is the call if you need a wedge or pop-up hard-shell RTT.
Which mount style do I need for my truck?
Toyota Tacoma gets Utility Rail or T-Slot Tonneau only. Tundra, Jeep Gladiator, Nissan Frontier, and Nissan Titan get all three options. Ford F150 and up, Chevy, GMC, and RAM get T-Slot and/or Bed Clamps — check the variant selector for your model.
Can I add accessory panels to the 18.5"?
Yes. TRUKD V2 6.5" and 12.5" accessory panels bolt directly onto V2 brackets on the 18.5" rack. Panels must be positioned at the top of the brackets on taller builds.
What's the load rating?
300 lb per set driving (150 lb per bar) and 1,000 lb parked (500 lb per bar). These ratings apply across the entire T Series lineup.
Is the 18.5" T Series compatible with V1 TRUKD racks?
No. T Series components are V2-only and do not interchange with V1 TRUKD hardware.
