Do I need tools to set it up?

Will it stay put on uneven or soft ground?
The feet flex to spread the load on uneven terrain and have stake holes for extra hold on sand or grass (stakes sold separately). For the steadiest hang, set it on relatively flat ground so you're not fighting to level the feet.
How tall a person does it fit, and what's the weight limit?
It's rated to 300 lb, with the long-bar lounge mode handling most adults. Very tall users (around 6 ft 4 in and up) may want Kammok's extension bar. Lounge mode is rated for 1-2 people relaxing or one person sleeping.
Is it a shelter? Can I add a rain tarp?
It's a stand, not a shelter — there's no rainfly or bug net. The aluminum frame is rust-resistant in an unexpected shower, but a rain tarp would need its own poles. Pack the stand dry in its bag for storage.
