Will it fit my spare tire?

It fits most rear-mounted spares. The adjustable straps wrap the tire and cinch down, so the bag adapts to a wide range of spare diameters on Jeeps, the INEOS Grenadier, Four Wheel Campers, vans, and small SUVs. You need an exposed, rear-mounted spare to strap it to.

Is it actually weatherproof?

The Version 2 zipper top has a rain flap over it, and the fade-resistant vinyl body sheds rain and road spray. Treat it as water-resistant, not a submersion-proof dry bag; it keeps the weather off your gear, but it is not sealed.

How do I keep the straps from wearing out in the sun?
