RotopaX Metal Stand (2 Gallon)
RotopaX Metal Stand (2 Gallon)
The Lone Rock Concepts RotopaX Metal Stand is a single-piece laser-cut metal base with two integral U-bracket corner clips that hold a 2-gallon RotopaX water container upright and stable. The clips cradle the container's bottom corners; the flat base distributes the load across whatever surface it's sitting on. Raw brushed metal construction. Weighs 272g (9.6 oz). Fits both Gen 1 and Gen 2 RotopaX 2-gallon water containers.
The stand solves a specific problem: an upright RotopaX on a camp table, truck bed liner, or uneven ground has a high center of gravity and tips easily in wind or when bumped. The stand locks that out without adding meaningful height or complexity. Gen 1 RotopaX containers have a twist-lock interlocking bottom that makes standing upright even harder — the stand is particularly useful for Gen 1 owners. Pairs naturally with the Lone Rock Concepts RotopaX Overland Water Pump Adapter Kit (sold separately): the pump attaches to the container's spout port and works best with the container standing vertically.
Freestanding — no mounting hardware or drilling required. Sized for the 2-gallon RotopaX only; no stand is currently available for other RotopaX sizes. RotopaX water container not included.

Key features
- Single-piece laser-cut construction — two integral U-bracket corner clips, flat base plate; raw brushed metal
- Fits 2-gallon RotopaX Gen 1 and Gen 2 — works with both container generations
- Freestanding — no mounting hardware, no drilling; works on any flat surface
- 272g (9.6 oz) — lightweight enough to keep in the kit bag
- Pairs with LRC RotopaX Water Pump Adapter Kit — sold separately; stand keeps the container vertical for pump operation
Use cases
Camp water station setup: place the stand on a truck tailgate, camp table, or tent platform before unpacking. RotopaX goes in the stand, adapter kit attaches to the spout, and the water station is operational for the duration of camp. The stand is also useful standalone for anyone who's tired of a Gen 1 container falling over on its twist-lock bottom. Lightweight enough to throw in with the container without a second thought.

What RotopaX sizes and generations does this fit?
The stand fits the 2-gallon RotopaX in both Gen 1 and Gen 2 variants. No stand is currently available from Lone Rock Concepts for other RotopaX sizes (1-gallon, 1.75-gallon, 3.5-gallon, 4-gallon).
Does it mount to a surface or just sit freestanding?
Freestanding. The flat base plate sits on any flat surface — truck tailgate, camp table, tent platform — and the two corner clips hold the container. No bolts, straps, or drilling required.
Why is a stand necessary? Can't a RotopaX stand on its own?
Gen 2 RotopaX containers have a flat bottom and stand reasonably well. Gen 1 containers have a twist-lock interlocking bottom with raised protrusions that make standing upright unreliable — they tip easily on any surface that isn't perfectly level. Both generations have a high center of gravity when upright, and either will tip in wind or from a bump. The stand fixes both issues.
Does this work with the Lone Rock Concepts RotopaX Water Pump Adapter Kit?
Yes, they're complementary. The pump adapter kit attaches to the container's spout port and requires the container to be upright for consistent pump operation. The stand keeps the container stable in that position. They're sold separately.
Is the container included?
No. The stand only. The 2-gallon RotopaX water container is sold by RotopaX separately.
What is it made of?
Metal — the exact alloy is not specified by Lone Rock Concepts. The stand is visually consistent with raw brushed stainless steel or aluminum based on product photography. No powder coat or anodized finish.
