This is a 40 x 12 x 10 in heavy-duty vinyl storage bag cut to fit the Winnebago Revel's factory roof rack. It rides on the rails the Revel ships with, so there is no separate platform to buy. If your van is not a Revel, this bag is not the one — it is sized to that rack and may not fit other vehicles.
The vinyl shell is weather-resistant. It sheds rain and road spray on the highway and on the trail, keeping bulky low-density gear dry up top instead of eating cabin floor space. A 3-sided zipper opens the lid across the full length, so you reach the whole bag from a step instead of digging in from one end. Pack camp chairs, an awning room, recovery boards, or off-season bedding up here and free the inside of the van for living.
