The RacksBrax XD Hitch (Double) is a two-point quick-release mount that lets you pull a wing awning off your rack in under 10 seconds with no tools. It bolts to your rack once; after that the awning lifts on and off by hand. Each point carries 20 kg, so the Double handles up to 40 kg total — enough for most 180 and 270 wing awnings.
It fits wing awnings with spine-track spacing between 100 and 120 mm, including Darche Eclipse 180/270, 23Zero 270, Howling Moon, and Bush Company 270. A few awnings (Bushwakka, 30 Second, SUPA PEG) need an adaptor. Note the XD line only pairs with XD brackets — it is not cross-compatible with the HD hitch.
The bodies are UV-stabilised glass-reinforced nylon, made in Australia, with stainless steel hardware, so it lives outside year-round. Security is built in: an in-built barrel lock plus two keyed locking pins with tethers keep the awning attached to the vehicle. The pack ships with all mounting hardware, two blanking covers for when the awning is off, two keys, and the two locking pins. Awnings over 11.5 m² need three points — step up to the Triple for those.

Do I need the Double or the Triple?
The Double gives you two mounting points and 40 kg total. Awnings over 11.5 m² need three points, so step up to the Triple. Always match or exceed your awning maker's recommended hitch count.
