The HD Hitch Tradesman II is a 2-point quick-release bracket kit for mounting a pull-out awning or accessory to your roof rack. The kit gives you two mounting points and a 40 kg total load rating (20 kg per point). It suits awnings and accessories with 40-52 mm spine track spacing, and ships with stainless steel M8 fasteners that drop into either M6 or M8 drill holes on the rack or the accessory bracket.
This is the HD class, built for pull-out awnings, shower tents, conduit tubes, and some wing awnings. It is not for big 180/270/360 wing awnings — those run on the XD Hitch. If you need a third mounting point or want to carry 60 kg, step up to the Tradesman III; the Tradesman II is the 2-point, 40 kg setup. The hitch bodies are UV-stabilised glass-reinforced nylon, so they hold up to sun and weather without corroding.
What sets the Tradesman II apart from the plain HD Hitch Standard is the bundle: it includes a set of HD Wall Mounts and HD Holders so you can hang the awning on a garage wall between trips, plus 2 Prop Cleats that let a pull-out awning stand freestanding once it is pitched off the vehicle. Bolt the hitch halves on once, and after that the awning goes on or off in under 10 seconds with no tools.
