The Outpost is a vehicle-mounted hammock stand that hangs a hammock anywhere trees won't cooperate. It anchors to your rack with a quick-release ball hitch and deploys in under a minute with no tools.

Does a hammock come with the Outpost?
No. You get the stand, two hammock hanging straps, and the stock mounting kit. The hammock is sold separately. It works with Kammok Mantis, Sunda, and Roo hammocks, plus most 9-to-11-foot hammocks you already own.
Will it fit my vehicle's rack?
The stock mounting kit fits most cross bars, basket racks, and platform-style t-slot racks. Rack designs vary, so confirm your specific rack against Kammok's mounting compatibility guide before you buy.
Can I use it freestanding without a vehicle?
No. The Outpost is built to mount to your vehicle — the stand-end anchors to a quick-release ball hitch in your rack, and that's what carries the load. The telescoping legs and stake-able feet level the free end on uneven ground and hold it steady when the hammock is off, but it is not a tree-free standalone ground stand.
How much weight does it hold?
The Outpost is rated to 350 lb. That's one person sleeping or two people lounging on the 144.5 inch ridge.
Will the frame hold up to weather and repeated use?
Yes. The frame is powder-coated and anodized aluminum with UV-resistant reinforced nylon and steel hardware, made to live outside on a rack. Wipe it down and let it dry before packing to keep the finish in good shape.
