Mountain Blanket
Mountain Blanket
Ultra-durable and Ultra-plush
Using the same strong Diamond Shell™ 40D diamond weave ripstop nylon as our Roo hammocks, the Mountain Blanket has a Durable Water Repellant finish, making it resistant to rips, dirt, and moisture. Plush fleece on the flip side brings ultimate comfort to the campsite protected with a DWR finish to repel water.
Adapts to Every Scenario
Snaps along the edge of the Mountain Blanket helps it to easily transform into different modes. From classic camp blanket, for laying out on the ground, to a minimalist sleeping bag for unexpected overnight excursions. A center opening in the blanket turns it into a stylish, yet functional poncho, a wearable blanket for staying warm and dry, while keeping your hands free. Flip the plush fleece-lined stuff sack inside out, and stuff it for a backup pillow.
Intuitive Integration
The Mountain Blanket is one of three All Adventure Blankets designed with a modular loop-and-snap integration system. Join the blankets together to layer for warmth and protection from the elements. Seamlessly integrate them with your Roo hammock gear loops to create a toasty top quilt.

How warm is the Mountain Blanket?
Kammok recommends it for nights no colder than 40-50F, depending on how warm you sleep. That figure is a recommendation, not a lab-tested rating. The 240g of insulation plus a fleece lining make it noticeably warmer and heavier than a lighter camp blanket, which is why it shines for chilly car-camping nights rather than as a sole layer below freezing.
Is it too heavy or bulky for backpacking?
It's built for car camping and overland use, not ultralight backpacking. At about 4 lb 6 oz packed into a sack roughly 9.5 x 9.5 x 15.5 in, it's happiest living in the rig or the trunk. If you need a trail quilt, this isn't it.
How do the poncho and sleeping-bag modes work?
Snaps run along the edges. Snap them to close the blanket into a minimalist sleeping bag, or use the center opening to wear it as a hands-free poncho. There are also 4 stake-out snaps to pin it to the ground on a windy site.
Is it waterproof?
It's water-resistant, not waterproof. The 40D ripstop shell and the DWR finish on both faces shed dew and light rain and keep dirt from soaking in, but it isn't a rain layer. Refresh the DWR with a wash-in repel product when water stops beading.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold on gentle in a front-load washer (no agitator), then hang dry or tumble low with a dryer ball. Skip fabric softener, bleach, and stain removers, which break down the DWR. Kammok also okays hand washing in cold water.
Can I connect it to my other Kammok gear?
Yes. It's one of Kammok's modular All Adventure Blankets, so the loop-and-snap system lets you join two blankets to layer warmth, or clip it to the gear loops on a Kammok Roo hammock to run it as a top quilt.
