MK Outdoor Sunset Fold-N-Go Utility Lighter (Pack of 2)

Overview

A two-pack of refillable butane utility lighters built for camp. Each runs an adjustable windproof flame off an electric piezo ignition and a folding long neck, so it lights stoves, fires, grills, and candles in conditions that kill matches and disposable lighters.

Key features

• Adjustable windproof flame — stays lit in a breeze, unlike a soft-flame match or pocket lighter
• Piezoelectric electric ignition — no flint to wear out and more humidity-resistant than a wheel striker
• Folding long neck — extends to keep your hand back from the flame, then folds flat for storage
• Refillable butane with a visible fuel-level window — top it off with standard butane instead of tossing it
• Rubberized slip-guard grip, hanging-hook loop, and a child-safety lock

Use cases

Lighting camp and backpacking stoves when wind shrugs off a match, starting a campfire or fire ring at arm's length, firing up the grill, and lighting lanterns or candles around the site. The two-pack lets you keep one in the kitchen kit and one with the fire gear.

Is it refillable, and how do I refill it?

Yes. It takes standard butane. Hold a butane refill can to the fill valve, give it a few short pumps of two to three seconds each, then let it sit a moment before lighting. The visible fuel-level window shows how full it is. Butane is not included.

Will the flame stay lit in wind?

Yes. It runs an adjustable windproof flame, so it holds in a breeze that would blow out a match or a soft-flame pocket lighter. Turn the flame down for candles and up for a stubborn fire ring.

Does the long neck keep my hand away from the flame?

Yes. The neck folds out long so the flame reaches into a stove burner, a fire ring, the grill, or the bottom of a tall candle jar while your hand stays well back. When you are done it folds flat to drop in a pocket or a drawer.

Is there a child-safety lock?

Yes. A lock mechanism guards against accidental strikes, so it is safer to leave in a kitchen tote or a glove box between uses.

How does it do in cold weather or at high altitude?

It is a butane lighter, so treat it like one. In deep cold the butane can run sluggish — warm it in a pocket for a minute before you strike it. The electric piezo ignition shrugs off humidity better than a flint wheel, but a jet flame can still weaken at high elevation where there is less oxygen.

Why two lighters instead of one?

Because one lighter is never where you need it. Keep one with the cook kit and one with the fire and recovery gear, or run the second as a backup so an empty or lost lighter never leaves you without a flame.
