The MAXTRAX Xtreme is the heavy-duty board in the MAXTRAX recovery line. It measures 45 inches long and carries 88 replaceable hard-anodised alloy teeth that bite into your tire tread and the ground beneath it, so a stuck rig in sand, mud, or snow drives itself back out. Each board is rated to 4,500 kg, which covers a loaded full-size truck or a built overland rig.
What sets the Xtreme apart from the standard polymer boards is the teeth. They are alloy, not molded plastic, and they back out one at a time with a T-50 Torx bit. Chew up a few on a hard recovery and you swap them in the field instead of buying a new board. The body is the same engineering-grade reinforced nylon MAXTRAX is known for, with extra thickness at the high-pressure points. Six glove-friendly handles and a shovel cast into each end round it out.
