The MaxTrax Xtreme is a pair of recovery boards built for heavy rigs and frequent recoveries. Each board runs 46 x 13 x 4.5 inches and weighs about 10 lb, so the pair is roughly 20 lb total. The headline difference from the standard line: 88 hard-anodized alloy teeth that bolt on and replace one at a time. Alloy teeth shrug off the heat that melts molded nylon teeth during wheelspin, which is why this version holds up when you use it hard.
You get one board for each drive tire. Wedge them under the spinning wheels, ease onto the throttle, and the teeth bite into both the tread and the terrain to pull you out of sand, mud, or snow. Each board is rated to about 9,900 lb, so a loaded overland rig sits well inside spec. Six built-in handles make them easy to grab and reposition, and a shovel end on each board clears packed earth ahead of the tire.
This is the black colorway. Same engineering-grade reinforced nylon body and alloy teeth as the brighter versions, in a low-profile finish for rigs that don't want bright orange or red on the roof rack. Backed by a lifetime warranty against faulty materials and workmanship.
