MAXTRAX MkII Titanium Grey Traction Boards (Pair)

The MAXTRAX MkII is a pair of self-recovery boards for getting a stuck rig out of sand, mud, or snow. Each board runs 45 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 3.5 inches thick, and weighs about 7.5 lb. Aggressive cleats bite into the tire tread on top and dig into the terrain underneath, so the tire stops spinning and starts climbing. A pair is rated to recover vehicles up to roughly 10,000 lb.

The boards are injection-molded in Australia from UV-stable, engineering-grade reinforced nylon. The material flexes under a loaded tire and springs back instead of cracking. Six built-in handles make them easy to carry and position, and a shovel edge on each end clears packed snow or mud before you wedge a board under the tire. Set up right, recovery is a two-step drill: dig out the front of the tire, slide the leading edge under, ease onto the throttle.

A pair stacks down to about 3.4 inches thick, so they store flat against a wall, under a platform, or on a roof rack with the right pins. Color is Titanium Grey to match silver and light-colored vehicles. This listing is a pair (two boards).
