The MAXTRAX Kinetic Recovery Rope 5m is a 24 mm double-braided nylon rope built to do the pulling a flat snatch strap can't. It stretches up to 30% under load, then snaps back — that stored-and-released energy is what frees a stuck rig, with far less shock through the recovery points. Minimum breaking strength is 12,000 kg (26,455 lbs), and the whole rope weighs just 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs).
The 5 m length is the all-rounder. It's long enough to reach a bogged vehicle in most trail recoveries and short enough to coil and stow fast. Built from Nylon 66 with reinforced eyes at each end, it's the kinetic link between two rated recovery points — not a tow strap, and not a lifting sling. Recover with a slow, steady roll into the stretch rather than a hard yank, and the rope does the work.
Attach it to your rig's rated recovery points (or a MAXTRAX Hitch) with a rated shackle at each end, and lay a recovery dampener over the rope before you pull. Need more reach? Join two ropes with a Core Shackle to bridge a longer gap. Shackles and dampener sold separately.
