ICECO VL45 Pro Dual Zone 45QT Portable Cooler Grey
ICECO VL45 Pro Dual Zone 45QT Portable Cooler Grey
The ICECO VL45 ProD is a dual-zone 12V fridge/freezer with 47.5QT (45L) of cold storage in a single steel box, finished in grey. A sliding divider splits the interior into two independently controlled zones, so you can run one side as a fridge around 38°F and the other as a freezer at 0°F at the same time. Pull the divider out and you have one large open compartment instead. The full range runs 0°F to 50°F, which covers ice cream on one side and a six-pack you just want chilled on the other.
Power is the flexible part. The VL45 ProD runs on 12V or 24V DC straight from your rig or a power station, or on 110-240V AC through the built-in adapter when you are parked at the house. It only pulls about 0.463 kWh over a full 24 hours, and a SECOP compressor keeps cooling on grades up to a 40-degree tilt, so washboard and steep climbs do not stop it. A 3-level battery protection system watches your voltage and shuts the compressor off before it can drain your starter battery, then restarts once the battery recovers. Two USB ports on the panel charge a phone or headlamp off the same DC feed.
The shell is steel with built-in handles and a side-opening lid that gets you in from either side without pulling the box out of a tight spot. At 28.1 x 15.9 x 18.1 inches and about 53 pounds empty it stays compact enough for mid-size SUVs, truck beds, and van galleys. Inside you get a removable basket that clears items up to 13 inches tall, an LED light, and a drain plug for cleanup. It is backed by a 5-year warranty on the SECOP compressor.

Overview
A steel-bodied 12V dual-zone fridge/freezer in grey with 47.5QT of split storage, a sliding divider that creates two independently controlled zones, and a SECOP compressor that runs on DC or AC power.
Key features
- Sliding divider creates two zones, each adjustable 0°F to 50°F; run one side fridge and one freezer, or pull the divider for one large single compartment
- SECOP compressor draws about 0.463 kWh per 24 hours and keeps cooling on grades up to a 40-degree tilt
- Triple power input: 12V/24V DC plus 110-240V AC through the built-in adapter, with 2 USB charge ports
- 3-level battery protection guards your vehicle's starter battery from deep discharge
- Side-opening lid gets you in from either side without pulling the box out of a tight space
- Steel shell with built-in handles; removable basket clears items up to 13 in tall, plus LED light and drain plug
Use cases
Built for weekend overlanding and compact truck, SUV, and van builds where the 28-inch footprint matters. Owners run it off house batteries, portable power stations, and solar. Plug it into the wall to pre-cool at home, then switch to vehicle power for the drive out. The removable divider also makes it a clean dedicated freezer or a single big fridge when the trip calls for it.

Can I run a fridge and a freezer at the same time?
Yes. A sliding divider splits the interior into two independently controlled zones, so you can set one side to refrigerate near 38°F and the other to freeze at 0°F. Both sides adjust anywhere in the 0°F to 50°F range.
How does the dual zone actually work — is it two separate compartments?
It is one interior under a single lid with a pull-out sliding divider. With the divider in, you get two zones; pull it out and you have one large open compartment for a big grocery run. There are no separate doors to manage.
How much power does it use, and will it drain my battery?
It is rated at about 0.463 kWh over 24 hours. A 3-level battery protection system watches the voltage and shuts the compressor off before it can flatten your starter battery, then restarts once the battery recovers.
Will it keep running on a tilt or on rough roads?
Yes. The SECOP compressor is rated to keep cooling on a tilt of up to 40 degrees, so washboard, ruts, and steep climbs do not stop it.
Can I power it at home instead of in the vehicle?
Yes. It has a built-in 110-240V AC adapter plus 12V/24V DC input, so it plugs into a standard wall outlet or a vehicle/power-station feed. Pre-cool it at home, then switch to vehicle power on the way out.
Will it fit in my rig?
The box is 28.1 in long, 15.9 in wide, and 18.1 in tall — the same compact footprint as the single-zone VL45, so it fits mid-size SUV cargo areas, truck beds, and van galleys. Measure your spot first.
How heavy is it, and can one person move it?
The empty unit weighs about 53 lbs. Loaded with food and ice it gets heavy fast, so plan on a slide mount or a second set of hands when it is full. For cleanup, pull the basket and use the drain plug; crack the lid in storage to keep odor and mildew out.
