The Gear Aid Kotu is a 3-inch fixed-blade tanto knife built for camp and EDC duty. The blade is 5Cr15 stainless with a titanium coating, and it runs full tang through the handle so there's no weak joint to fail when you lean on it. The cutting edge is half plain, half serrated, so you can slice clean or saw through webbing, rope, and seatbelt-grade strap without swapping tools.
It rides in a molded quick-release sheath with a removable stainless belt clip, so it mounts to a belt, a pack strap, or your rig and pulls free fast. The acetal handle has a paracord slot and a bottle opener, and the pommel ends in a pointed glass breaker.
