The Ignik Gas Growler 5.0 Deluxe is a refillable 5 lb propane system — tank, 4 ft adapter hose, and protective carry case. It holds 1.2 gallons of propane, approximately five times the capacity of a single 16 oz disposable green bottle, and refills at any standard propane filling station. The extra volume over the 3.8 makes it the better choice for longer trips where you're running both a camp stove and a FireCan on the same fuel source.

The cylinder is DOT-compliant (4BA/4BW/4E), ships factory-purged and empty, and is ready to fill on arrival. Dimensions: 8.75 × 8.75 × 15 in; empty weight approximately 10 lb. The 4 ft (1.2 m) adapter hose connects to standard propane appliances via QCC1 fitting (1-inch 20 UNEF outlet).

Available in three options: Black (IGPRO-00725BK), Mtn Collection (IGPRO-00725MT-S), and Arctic Camo (IGPRO-00725AC-S) — same tank, same specs across all variants. Propane not included.

Overview

Refillable 5 lb propane system — tank, 4 ft hose, and carry case. DOT-compliant, QCC1 connection, pre-purged. Step up from the 3.8 for longer trips running multiple propane appliances.

Key features

  • 5 lb / 1.2 gal capacity — ~5× the fuel of a single 16 oz disposable canister; covers multi-day camp cooking and fire pit use
  • Complete Deluxe kit — tank + 4 ft (1.2 m) QCC1 adapter hose + protective carry case
  • DOT 4BA/4BW/4E certified — standard QCC1 valve (1-inch 20 UNEF outlet)
  • Three color options — Black, Mtn Collection, Arctic Camo; same specs across variants
  • Pre-purged at factory — ships empty, ready for first fill at any propane station

Use cases

The 5.0 Deluxe is the mid-range Gas Growler, suited for extended weekend trips and short overlanding runs where the 3.8 might run out and the X is more than needed. Common use: running an Ignik FireCan in the evenings plus a two-burner camp stove for meals, with fuel left over for the next morning. The color variants help with gear organization across multiple propane appliances in the same kit.
