DMOS Delta Shovel Mount

The DMOS Delta Shovel Mount is a compact aluminum vehicle mount designed to keep your Delta or Delta Pro accessible and secured on the exterior of your rig. It mounts flat to any surface with the standard 2.75-inch bolt spacing — roof racks, bed rack rails, MOLLE panels, and roll-bar style setups with a flat mounting face.

Construction: Powder-coated 10-gauge 5052 aluminum backing and hardware. At 2.2 lbs the mount adds minimal load to your rack.

Lock tab: A built-in slot accepts any standard padlock (not included). Discourages casual theft at trailheads and campsites.

Universal pattern: Pre-drilled slot pattern designed for common rack crossbar spacing. Four mounting points with two backing plates ensure a solid connection through any flat rack surface.

Compatibility: Delta and Delta Pro shovels only. Not compatible with the Compact Delta — different handle geometry and blade width.

Does this fit the Compact Delta?

No. The Delta Mount is sized for the standard Delta and Delta Pro blade and handle profile. The Compact Delta uses a different blade width and handle geometry. DMOS sells a separate mount system for the Compact Delta.

What rack systems is it compatible with?

The pre-drilled universal slot pattern fits most roof racks, bed racks, and MOLLE panels with standard bolt spacing. It requires a flat mounting surface — a roll bar or round tube needs an adapter plate or the Flat Mate mount system. Specific rack compatibility depends on crossbar spacing; most popular rack systems (Yakima, Rhino-Rack, TRUKD) work with the standard bolt pattern.

Does the lock prevent theft?

The lock tab accepts a standard padlock (not included) and discourages opportunistic theft — someone won't casually walk off with it. It's not a rated security system, but adds enough friction to deter casual grabs. Use a quality padlock rated for outdoor exposure.

Do I need to drill to install?

If your rack has T-slot or M6 mounting channels, you may be able to bolt through without drilling. For solid tube or flat sheet mounting, you'll drill the two backing plate holes. The kit includes all required hardware; you provide the drill.

Is it only for the shovel, or can I mount other tools?

Designed and sized for the Delta shovel profile. Other flat tools with similar handle diameter may fit the linchpin retention system, but DMOS specs the mount for the Delta and Delta Pro only.
