The Zero Breeze Cigarette Lighter Charging Cable connects the Mark 3 Battery to any standard 12V automotive cigarette lighter or accessory port. The cable is 1.2 meters long, built with 16AWG wire, and rated for 10A — matched to the Mark 3 Battery's built-in charge controller, which limits input to 10A regardless of what the source can supply. Plug one end into the battery's charging port, the other into a 12V outlet in the cab or aux panel, and the battery charges while the rig moves.

At 10A from a 12V source, charging the 1022Wh Mark 3 Battery from empty takes roughly 8–10 hours — this is a trickle charge by design, not a fast charge. The AC adapter is the right tool if you need the battery topped off in two hours. The cigarette lighter cable is the right tool for drive days: start the morning with a partial battery, arrive at camp with it fuller than when you left. It does not require you to stop — the cable works with the engine running and handles normal road vibration without issue.

This cable charges the Mark 3 Battery only. It does not power the Mark 3 AC unit directly (the AC unit requires 48V) and is not compatible with Mark 2 batteries. If your rig doesn't have a cigarette lighter outlet near where the battery rides, the Zero Breeze Power Extension Dock adds additional 12V outlets.

Overview

12V cigarette lighter to Mark 3 Battery charging cable. 1.2m, 16AWG, 10A rated. Charges the Mark 3 Battery during transit from any standard automotive 12V outlet.

Key features

  • 16AWG wire, 10A rated — matched to Mark 3 Battery's built-in 10A charge controller; trickle charges the 1022Wh battery over 8–10 hours from empty
  • 1.2m cable — reaches from dash or aux 12V port to battery stored in cab, truck bed, or rear seat area
  • Mark 3 Battery connector — purpose-built plug fits the Mark 3 Battery charging port; no adapters
  • Works while driving — designed for alternator charging during transit; handles road vibration and normal vehicle electrical fluctuations
  • Mark 3 Battery only — not compatible with Mark 2 batteries; does not power the Mark 3 AC unit directly

Use cases

Multi-day trips where the Mark 3 Battery is the primary power source. Plug in at the start of each drive day to recover charge used overnight without stopping for shore power or waiting on solar. Most effective on drive days of 4+ hours where meaningful capacity can be recovered.
